Partnerships for 2027 are open
Partner with the 2027 Central Asian Rounds
The 2027 Central Asian Rounds will take place on 13–15 February 2027 at KIMEP University in Almaty, Kazakhstan. We invite organisations committed to supporting legal education in the region — from law firms and companies to diplomatic missions and NGOs — to join us as partners.

Two programmes you can support
Central Asian Rounds
Sponsor the Central Asian Rounds
Each February, the Central Asian Rounds bring teams from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan together at one host university. Each country holds its own National Rounds, while all three competitions share a venue, judges and a wider regional community.
Rounds sponsorship supports the practical costs of delivering that competition weekend.
Central Asian Summer School
Support the Summer School
The Central Asian Summer School gives future first-time competitors intensive training in public international law, legal research, writing and oral advocacy before the competition season begins.
Summer School support has a separate budget and helps keep the programme free of charge for participating students.

What partnership makes possible
Partner support helps us give teams a professional and welcoming competition experience, regardless of the resources available to their universities.
01
Accommodation for visiting students
Covering accommodation removes one of the biggest financial barriers for students travelling from outside the host city.
02
Meals and refreshments
Lunches and coffee breaks keep participants refreshed throughout a demanding competition weekend.
03
Awards for outstanding achievement
Awards celebrate excellence across the competition and recognise the dedication, progress and achievements of participating students and teams.
Why the Rounds matter
The Jessup challenges students to research difficult questions of international law, write detailed legal arguments and defend them under sustained questioning.
The Rounds bring students, academics and practitioners from across Central Asia together to exchange perspectives, build lasting professional relationships and strengthen cooperation among the region’s legal communities.
Each National Champion advances to represent its country at the Jessup International Rounds. The Central Asian Rounds help students prepare for that global stage.
Support for the costs of participation helps ensure that talented students are not excluded simply because their universities have limited resources.
Jessup alumni go on to become lawyers, academics, public officials, judges and mentors. Supporting them at the beginning of that journey creates benefits that extend beyond a single competition season.
What a partner gains
Visibility in the regional legal community
Partners are recognised at the Rounds, in competition materials and through Jessup Central Asia’s communications. Depending on the partnership level, this may include venue branding, social-media recognition, ceremony mentions and branded awards. Where available for the season, recognition may also extend to Jessup materials distributed at the International Rounds.
Direct engagement with emerging talent
The Rounds provide an unusually substantive view of students’ abilities. Partners meet competitors who have spent months researching, writing and presenting complex legal arguments, not simply submitting a CV.
Participation in the Jessup community
Partner representatives may contribute to ceremonies, awards and recruitment activities. Eligible practitioners may also be invited to judge, subject to qualification, independence and conflict-of-interest requirements.
Recognition of professional contribution
Supporting Jessup demonstrates a practical commitment to legal education, regional cooperation and pro bono engagement. Where applicable, eligible partner representatives may be recognised as Jessup Ambassadors.
Partnership levels
Partnership arrangements are confirmed for each season. Contribution amounts are available on request.

Fairness comes first
Partnership does not influence competition results, team advancement or judging decisions. All judges are appointed under the same eligibility and conflict-of-interest requirements. Participant information is shared for recruitment only with the participant’s agreement.
Support the Summer School
The Summer School is funded separately from the Central Asian Rounds. Support from law firms, universities and partner organisations helps fund teaching materials, accommodation and meals while keeping the programme free of charge for participating students.
Unlike the Rounds packages, Summer School partnerships are arranged individually according to the needs of each edition. Partners may support the programme financially or, where agreed in advance, contribute teaching materials or specialist instruction.
Practitioners and academics may also take part as instructors, mentors and mini-moot judges.
